Welcome to Kurko Woods, a community-based Ranch & Retreat, where the thrill of horse riding meets the beauty of nature. We have designed this place to be a quick retreat from the busy urban lifestyle, combining cozy Eco-friendly cottages, community kitchen and horse riding tours all in one space. Kurko Woods provides a unique living experience for volunteers, travelers, and long-term residents who contribute to the ranch, care for the horses, and take part in sustainability-driven projects.
Our ranch is situated in the small historical town of Dusheti, just a 40-minute drive from Tbilisi, offering beautiful views of both the city and the mountains. KurkoWoods Ranch & Retreat has been established with a deep love and passion for horse riding by Giorgi Margvelashvili and his mountaineering friends, inviting everyone to experience the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

About Horses
Our horses are amazing companions, they are intuitive and will respond to your riding skills and styles. So, whether you're an experienced rider or an absolute beginner, our club welcomes riders of all levels, offering the thrill of horse riding tours.
Building Connection
Blanco, Tushi, Esik, and the other horses are all unique individuals with their own personalities. We recommend spending quality time communicating with your horse before mounting, during the tour, and at the end. Carry small treats like cut carrots and apples with you to reward them!
Horses are owned by Adventure Tourism School and are primarily used for Equestrian Guide Training Courses, making them accustomed to handling challenging terrain. Remember to treat your horse gently! It's important to be aware that some of them have experienced harsh treatment from humans in their past lives, so please do not compensate for your impatience with them.
